Our Story

Selah School of the Arts opened in August of 2018 by Vanessa Miller. Vanessa started training with various studios at the age of 4. She began her pre-professional training under Jamie Childers at Into the Light Ballet at the age of 14 in Atlanta Georgia. There she played many lead roles such as Esther in "The Book of Esther" and Dew Drop in "The Nutcracker". Throughout her years she has had the chance to train in Workshops and Summer intensives under elite dancers from Ad Deaum Dance Company, Ballet Magnificat, Ballet Excelsior, The Rockettes, Atlanta Ballet, and Arrows International. She also received many performance opportunities performing in Time Square, NY , Orlando, FL, and Atlantic Station. Receiving a Dance Scholarship Vanessa attended VSU and danced with the Red Hots for a season, and later graduated with her degree in Business in hopes to pursue opening up a Dance Studio in the near future. Shortly After, Vanessa's dream to create a place where artists can come and cultivate the gift God gave them became a reality. She hopes to one day expand the studio to be a true "School of the Arts" offering training in any and every art form.
